Renée has worked for 30 years as a therapist and social worker in the heart of the child psychiatry department at Hôpital Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, a sector that cares specially for complex cases of mental health issues touching children of all ethnicities and their families. She developed expertise through her work as a consultant and remedial teacher amongst children experiencing difficulty integrating and adapting to the CSDM’s introductory courses during the arrival of South-East Asian refugees. Her unfailing interest towards these fragile populations has also been expressed through her numerous travels, driven by the desire to understand and explore differences.
