A Syrian Dream is an educational and psycho-social centre for the poorest Syrian refugee families of Antakya/Hatay, a Turkish village near the Syrian border. Without access to Turkish schools or any other type of social assistance, these families have nowhere else to go.

The centre offers educational and recreational programs to 142 children between 7 and 13 years, to help them overcome their experiences with war, separation and displacement. Like all children, they need to learn, to play, to discover new experiences and develop their own tools for communication and self-expression.

A Syrian Dream is the work of Andréa Zarif, the sister of ‘Let me play’ co-founder Marya, and an art therapist who studied at Concordia University in Montréal.
