Faced with the daily horrors of the events in Syria, in particular the iconic photo of Aylan, the little boy who washed up on the beach, a feeling of sheer indignation emerged. Founded by 3 Quebecers and 2 Syrians, the non-profit organization ‘Let me play’ Foundation was born. We wanted to help the Syrian people but, above all, we believe children need to be kids.
Today, our movement boasts over one thousand members who believe that having a childhood is absolutely essential.
What’s more, there’s a strong cultural movement behind us in Quebec cinema, TV and multimedia.
